During the early stage of my participation in GNML, I have never expect I would learn so many important things from every sessions that I would have done. I have learned a lot of things those are very important to build and create an excellent campaign to promote a particular issues that has been choose as a project that I will actualize in my home community. They are 3 elements those have been the most important things that I learn from this program. The first one is, how to use social media Properly and wisely to engage people and promote the projects. The second one is, how to create an excellent project that will be actualized in the future in one particular issue that generally have concerned our own home community. The last one is to build a self-confidence and teach our own self to be a leader for our own home community and make a different to the better one ahead. I hope My project will have a strong fundamental bases as my participation on Youth TechCamp.

What was the most challenging experience of our GNML online program?
Before my participation in this program, I have already an advance knowledge about how to use different kind of social media and actively promoted some important issues in my local community such as environmental campaign and leadership promotion. During my participation in GNML I think I had done a great job and focus on preventing the teenagers committing crime, drugs and alcohol. From the session #1-#9, the most challenging experience was in the session #8 when we had been obligated to create an elevator pitch video for my GNML project. This was very challenging because I challenge my self to make an interesting video to hopefully engage many people. The editing process and some technical problem on my computer force me to remake the new video and sadly complete that session after the over-due. That experience teach me a lot to maximize my time and be prepare on every situation. I am glad I had finish it and I will perfected my project in the Youth TechCamp.
What was the most rewarding experience of our GNML online program?
Every session in Global New Media lab generally are the rewarding experiences for me. I learn a lot from every assignment and gain a better understanding on using the social media to engage many people that have the same interest to walk and work together to achieve the particular mission. Especially I get a very special reward on my participation in this program that is be one of 26 selected participant in Youth TechCamp, Burlington, VT for the next April. I am really looking forward to be among all the participants and Mr. Rob, Stacie, Nicole and the other substantial colleagues to learn and work together for creating the best project for each of us that we will actualize in our home community.

Indonesian Youth Leaders Project
The idea that have been figured out on my mind is creating the execellent platform for providing the sense of leadership for the youth, focusing on prevention of the youth mischief and degradation of youth quality. I can call it "Indonesian Youth Leaders". Everyone will be a leader for their own society. A lot of Indonesian teenagers have been trapped in the histeria of "westernization and rebellion" such as, fighting among teenagers, commiting crimes, bullying and illegal using of drugs and alcohol. These histerias have affected the mentality of students, distracted students progressive on school achievement and shaped some bad behaviours—reckless, disobedience and unresponsible actions. There should be a strong and massive progression to re-build the quality of youth. The group and facebook page will attract and unite all the teenagers from high school—start from my city. This group as a virtual class will provide the continuos socialization and a thoughful discussion to shape mentality of teenagers. Later on, we can proposed some supports from government department and private social-care organizations to provide financial aid for a bigger event such as the project competition among the youth actions regarding on the social issues among teenagers. I believe this project will affect and improve the mentality and quality of Indonesian teenagers as the future leaders of country.

Social Media? Is it the best for our students?
Based on the survey of Marketbiz about the development of social network in the world, recorded Indonesia as the 2nd country with the largest number of user in Facebook and the 3rd in Twitter. Also this survey have recorded 89% of 230 million people in Indonesia use the mobile phone to access the social media and Internet. This phenomenon is not very surprising, as the fact Indonesia is the 4th most populated country in the world, but in the other perspective this fact has concerned people with the bigger issues about the impact of the social media development in Indonesia. Especially, the influences that can be created from the social media for the teenagers as the future generation of Indonesia.
Facebook and twitter have been known as the most popular social sites for the teenagers in Indonesia to interact with others. This social activity with favorable help a lot of teenagers to get the latest information about the people around them, but the surprising thing is the number of time they used in the virtual media. According to the survey of Yahoo and TNS Net, an Indonesian teenager averagely spend about 2 or 3 hours use the facebook and twitter daily. This number increased significantly by the development of smart phone that help the students access the social media easily. Also, 10% of students update their facebook/twitter during the class time. These particular facts clearly show how the social network already addicted most of the teenagers in Indonesia that can affect the academic performance of the students.
These issues only can be resolved by the excellent collaboration from the entire component of society. The school has to give the knowledge and create the healthy internet and electronic devices policy during the learning process. The parents should supervise the student academic performance excellently to guide them to the right path of success. The most important thing is the student itself that have to manage their time effectively and realize their role as the next generation. Social media will provide all of benefit for the user if it is used in the proper purposes to spread the spirit of togetherness and mutual interaction among the people. I believe by applicating the use of social media wisely can lead Indonesia to the better way and the excellent future.
